As I understand it, every web server has a different interface to
operating-specific "objects" (such as beans in Java or COM in Windows).
Most Unix OS's have a "shared library" facility, but this is more like the
DLL facility in Windows. The most common web server on Linux is Apache,
which I believe has very flexible customization ("mods", I think), which can
be created in just about any language.
Hope that helps...

hai,
we are very new to c++ scripting but are ready to use
it. But have some doubts regarding some deployments
procedures. If we are using java we can deploy bean
components in any java enabled web server. same case
with COM components and MTS. can shared objects
developed in c++ be deployed in any web server on
linux?? we are in hurry to know the answer. Please let
me know earliest possible.
regards
BSR
