This also reminds me of several people telling that you'd better use
Flex to scan identifier plus Gperf to find keywords, instead of flex
finding ids and keywords, because in the first case, tables are much
smaller, and more appropriate to today's chips.
I have not made measurements myself, but these people are trustworthy.
