Oh, in fact I was asking another question:
What kind of features would you use if you wanted to restrict the image
retrieval problem to "perceptually almost identical" images? I guess some
goals are different. You probably would try to suppress spatial invariance
above a certain threshold, and get some invariance against colour transforms
to allow for "enhanced" images. What do you think?
