Please, read the documentation accompanying the GLPK source distribution, which 
is available at:

In glpk-4.47/doc/gmpl.pdf you will find a chapter on the "Variable statement".
In glpk-4.47/doc/glpk.pdf you will find a chapter on "glp_set_col_kind".
