Subject: [Help-glpk] glpk-4.60 problem --- libglpk.so.40: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Ubuntu 16.04
Date: Sat, 2 Apr 2016 17:11:32 +1100

Hi,

I got a new Dell Inspiron 15.4 laptop Windows 10, -Inspiron-5559 and
dual booting it with Ubuntu 16.04 today. It is new Skylake i7 CPU and
previous Ubuntu version will not run on it. Hence, I am running Ubuntu
16.04.

I got this problem libglpk.so.40: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory1

I think it is related to this dynamic library

libglpk.so.40.1.0

Here's the log below.

Thanks.

If you ever happen to want to link against installed libraries
in a given directory, LIBDIR, you must either use libtool, and
specify the full pathname of the library, or use the `-LLIBDIR'
flag during linking and do at least one of the following:
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment variable
     during execution
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_RUN_PATH' environment variable
     during linking
   - use the `-Wl,-rpath -Wl,LIBDIR' linker flag
   - have your system administrator add LIBDIR to `/etc/ld.so.conf'

See any operating system documentation about shared libraries for
more information, such as the ld(1) and ld.so(8) manual pages.
