Copy/Cut/Paste w/o mouse...Anyone write nice commands as nice as vi way? |

Anyone write nice cut/copy/paste commands to accomplish
this in Emacs without a mouse with the LEAST number of key
strokes????
Vi can erase 5 lines by just typing "5 dd" and then
paste it by just typing "p".
Emacs is not this nice by default.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
