How make vc (CVS) commands save file automatically so they don't ask all the time? |

Many of the version control (CVS) commands in Emacs ask you to save
your file first..... e.g. if you checkin a file you must save it first...
Is there a way to invoke these CVS commands and get a save done
behind the scenes automatically by default?
