   Hello everyone:

I want to install emacs on a cluster. The OS is turbo Linux. but they say :

   [siap@ganode002 emacs-21.3]$ ./configure --prefix=/home/user/siap/emacs
   loading cache ./config.cache
   checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
configure: error: Emacs hasn't been ported to `x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu'
systems
   .
Check `etc/MACHINES' for recognized configuration names.

how to fix it? or it is can not be fixed?

Hum feel a bug report and ask Emacs developers what are their plans to support
such
architecture.

Xavier
