gnus setup (smtp authorization on gmail.com)

Hi All!

I am using amd64 debian etch and Emacs 21.4a-3.

I am trying to setup GNUS to work with my account on gmail.com
gmail.com account requires authorization. I didn't know how to set up
gnus for authorization, but, googling on the net, I came across this
page: http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/~terjeros/wiki/GnusGmail

I tried to follow the instructions on the page. I replaced 
/usr/share/emacs/21.4/lisp/mail/smtpmail.elc 
and
/usr/share/emacs/21.4/lisp/gnus/starttls.elc
with new smtpmail.el and starttls.el from the emacs cvs repository (http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewcvs/emacs/?root=emacs)

And I replaced /usr/share/emacs/21.4/lisp/gnus/pop3.elc with pop3.el
CVS from m17n.org:

Then I wrote new entries in my .gnus file

But when I start gnus, I get this error: Mail source error ((file-error
Searching for program no such file or directory ssleay)).  The
packages gnutls-bin (1.2.9-2), libgnutls11 (1.0.16-14), libgnutls12
(1.2.9-2) are installed. Do I miss something else?

Or maybe my config is wrong?

I don't have any ideas... Any help will be very appreciated...
