key word highlight for php-mode

I installed the php-mode (php-mode.el v1.20) today, however, seems
there are some problem for my emacs. First of all, it only highligh a
few key word for php scripts. And it cannot interprete # comments,
therefore the following high-light are completely mass up. Do you know
what's wrong with my config? I use (load "php-mode") to load the
script.  Thanks
