minor mode for displaying inlined images

Is there a minor mode that allows Emacs to display images embedded as HTML 
links in other
files? What I'd like to do is to embed links to graphs and other diagrams into 
C++ comments.
People using that minimode would see them embedded, others have the option of 
following
the link with their external browser.
