Why don't you use the version of flyspell included in your Emacs
version?  Although the web page says "Date: Jan 2008", my impression
from glancing over the diffs is the version in Emacs CVS is more up to
date.  If not, it would be nice if the author (Manuel Serrano, cc-ed),
submits his changes to Emacs CVS as well.
