Re: undo in shell buffer?

Term mode seems to work well.  I will try switching to it from shell
mode.  I like the idea of eshell too.

However, I tried mapping meta up to previous line in term and it didn't work:

(define-key term-mode-map [(meta up)] 'previous-line)

Any idea why?
