You're pressing C-7 or C-g (a, b, c, d, e, f, »g«) which is \007 or BEL. This produces a sound. / is probably Shift-7 on your keyboard, too. For me C-S-7 gives DEL, though ...

C-S--, i.e., C-_, gives undo.

The whole looks like a bug in Terminal (for me: in Tiger, Mac OS X 10.4.11). Let's report it at https://bugreport.apple.com/cgi-bin/ WebObjects/RadarWeb.woa!
