Hi!
When at work in my GNU Emacs (*1), calling ispell (M-x $), and selecting
a spelling alternative and thus closing this mini buffer, seems to take
the menu-bar away with it.
The Ispell mini-buffer shows up above the buffer I am running the ispell
on, just below the menu-bar.
When the menu-bar disappears, what remains is a single grey line, which
looks to me like I minimised the menu-bar.
Hitting M-x menu-bar-mode twice makes the menu bar return.
Anybody an idea on how to debug this further?
