Pascal, thanks for answering.

I'd just like a window configuration were *Help* and similar buffers
which need less horizontal space appear on the right and *grep* and
similar buffers which need more horizontal space appear at the bottom.
Moreover, I'd like to delete any of them at any time.

I know you can customize `display-buffer-function' to get full control
on where a buffer goes. Now, I can easily get a window on the right at
any time by splitting the main one, however I can't think of a way to
get a bottom window when there are two windows side by side already,
except by deleting the existing windows and recreating them.

Any hint? Thanks.
