I vaguely remember emacs behavior changing wrt how blanks are handled in
minibuffer completion. Strongly recommend you skim through the NEWS
files for the versions of Emacs between the one you are upgrading from
and the one you are upgrading to. This will often save hours of pain
trying to track down what has changed.
