Ahh, that's the difference. I haven't closed the notification window, I
let it expire. This does not reset idle-time.

It sounds acceptable to reset the idle timer on Emacs, when you touch
the notification window. A signal is returned, and a callback function
is activated, which might be the reason of the reset.
