I don't think there's anything to do. 

`cd' to your source directory and run `etags file1.c file2.c ...' and you'll 
have a tags file. Type `M-x .' with the cursor on the symbol of interest, tell 
emacs that you want to use TAGS as the tags file and it should find the symbol.

Hi folks,

Could someone please help me get started with setting up etags for a large
C++ source base? I'd like to use emacs on cygwin. I assume etags is the
right tool for source indexing with emacs.
