Further testing reveals that it is not a color theme issue. Sometimes the
color is fine, but touch it and it dis-adheres. Also, I have only tested C++
mode.

GNU Emacs 24.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt6.1.7601)
 of 2013-03-17 on MARVIN
