And -- I think it's important to point out why: Apple hates the GPLV3.
It must be Steve Jobs' ghost or what (who perhaps never forgot the
Objective-C thingy at Next), but it bears serious consequences for
Mac users: all utilities following the change GPLV2 --> GPLV3 are
stuck at an old version there (bash, to name a very popular one).
