[Help-gnu-radius] Problem authenticating PAP users but CHAP OK. |

Hi Sergey et al.,
My GNU Radius server is authenticating CHAP passwords OK but cannot
authenticate when using PAP.
For example when I use NT Rad Ping using PAP I get:
Oct 05 15:48:28 Auth.notice: (Access-Request 217.13.128.68 6 "harry"): Login
incorrect [harry/b0w1by]
but using CHAP I get:
Oct 05 15:48:34 Auth.notice: (Access-Request 217.13.128.68 7 "harry"): Login OK
[harry/b0w1by]
I have several 100 users authenticating OK except for this one AS5300 which is
using PAP.
My raddb/users file looks like:
DEFAULT Group = "*LOCKED_ACCOUNT*",
Auth-Type = Reject
Reply-Message = "Your account is currently locked.\n\
Please, contact your system administrator\n"
## Default entry.
DEFAULT Auth-Type = SQL,
Simultaneous-Use = 1
Service-Type = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP
#DEFAULT Auth-Type = Local,
# Password-Location = SQL
I've read the GNU press book but can't see what I'm doing wrong - any
help/pointers gratefully received.
Thanks
Graham Lewis
