[Help-gnunet] I'm not sure what going on

Hi gnunet people,

since yesterday I'm running gnunet 0.4.5 / libextractor 0.1.1.
It's not the first time I'm running gnunet. I run gnunet from time to 
time for some days. In most instances when a new version is made,
to see the progress to the way to the long road to a useful P2P program.

Search is much faster now, but download ist still extrem slow.
The download speed is still far away from practical.

In what development stage will you see gnunet now ?
Is the protocol settled, and further work will 'only' made to the 
implementation ?
I can't find any statement about this in FAQ or Documentation.

I like the gnunet concept, and I await eagerly a useful version.
