What platform is this? I'm able to build a static GnuTLS (./configure
--enable-static --disable-shared) fine on a Debian x86 machine.

The _gnutls_log_func variable is defined in gnutls_global.c and there is
a prototype for it in gnutls_global.h, which gnutls_errors.c includes
(via gnutls_errors.h). So I don't understand why linking fails.
