g++ doesn´t work after upgrade |

Helly everybody,
I recently upgraded to gcc/g++-2.95.3-73 and glibc-2.2-9 on SuSE Linux
ix86.
While trying to compile a "Hello World!" including <iostream.h>, the
linker came up with this nasty
/usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lstdc++
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
stuff.
I finally figured out that the package gppshare-2.95.3-73 that provides
libg++-libc6.2-2.so.3 etc. was missing. So I installed it, and now the
compiler does it´s job without complaining, but...
.. the binaries do not run! The "Hello World!" - executable does not
produce any output, not even an error.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could tell me what is still wrong...
Thanks,
