Hi all,

i suppose that a bug report is not what it is.
A feature request sounds better.

Sure, it would be possible to implement this. But afaik it's not so easy as it sounds. A joystick or gamepad is a completely different class of usb-device.

Thus it might be a good thing if someone with the knowledge and time could implement this support, especially considering the rising popularity of steam Os.

My 2 cent,

sashab

Hi :)
It might be worth asking on the devs mailing-list.

I think it's about the first time i've seen anyone suggest doing this.
So it might be good to post a "bug report" about it too but use the
drop-downs to hopefully find an option to show it's really a "feature
request" or "wish-list" item. If the drop-downs don't seem to have
the option then just write soemthing in the subject-line, such as;
[feature request]
or
[wish-list]
the square(ish) brackets make it look like a bit like a tag

Tom :)

If there is, I'm afraid I don't know of one. It's likely GRUB can't interface with your gamepad. You may need to use a temporary mouse and keyboard until someone more knowledgable than I am pipes up. :)

This is probably a really stupid question, but I am dual booting SteamOS and W8 on a machine without a mouse/keyboard. Is there any way to make grub recognize my gamepad so that I can switch the OS at boot?

Thanks!
