I think that version of glibc may have the same problem (given that the patches originally causing the problem were originally made against 2.3.3, as shown in the second link I gave you),but I'm not sure. I've looked up the changelog for Suse's glibc RPM,and the entries are so terse that they're no help in determining exactlywhen the problem was fixed; the closest I can come is sometime between 2005 and 2006.
