Hi all,
I have noticed that recent CygWin distributions destroy Octave's searach of
subdirectories (on Win98, but not on NT). I practice, this means that Octave
cannot find mean.m in stuff/m/statistics/base, but it would work fine if mean.m
was moved to stuff/m/statistics (DEFAULT_LOADPATH contains stuff/m//).
It is certainly easy enough to circumvent this problem, but it would be
interesting to understand the reason for it. Any suggestions? What should I say
to the CygWin people?
Sincerely,
Paul Söderlind
