| The downside to LaTeX is that things like "track changes" with multiple
| authors is a bit more tricky.
I'm not sure what you mean by "track changes" but CVS (or other
version control software) works well with LaTeX source files.
.. and there is a style file that marks changed sections with margin change
bars, prints the revision sequence numbers from RCS revision strings, etc.
