Hello,
I have installed yesterday octave version 2.1.69 on unix sun solaris 2.9
I have done
./config --prefix=working_directory
gmake
and gmake install
Now under octave/bin I have:
ls -l
total 29
lrwxrwxrwx 1 deluit sigprog 16 Apr 8 11:02 mkoctfile ->
mkoctfile-2.1.69
-rwxr-xr-x 1 deluit sigprog 10284 Apr 8 11:02 mkoctfile-2.1.69
lrwxrwxrwx 1 deluit sigprog 13 Apr 8 11:04 octave ->
octave-2.1.69
lrwxrwxrwx 1 deluit sigprog 17 Apr 8 11:02 octave-bug ->
octave-bug-2.1.69
-rwxr-xr-x 1 deluit sigprog 11837 Apr 8 11:02 octave-bug-2.1.69
lrwxrwxrwx 1 deluit sigprog 20 Apr 8 11:02 octave-config
-> octave-config-2.1.69
-rwxr-xr-x 1 deluit sigprog 5907 Apr 8 11:02
octave-config-2.1.69
The problem is that I don't have the executing file octave-2.1.69 on
which octave is linked.
Do we need another step to install the binary file of octave ?
I had a look on mkoctfile and octave-config and I checked that all
requires files are installed and it seens that it is the case.
So I don't understand what I have to do in addition to have the
binary octave-2.1.69 ?
Can you help me ?
And thanks a lot for the work done on octave
