Hi everyone,I'm an Octave newbie and one thing I miss from Matlab is the ability to zoom on figures (this at least does not seem to be possible when using Gnuplot).
It is possible in gnuplot 4.0, but you need to enable it in gnuplot with the command "set mouse". This can be done automatically by putting the command in a file called .gnuplot in your home directory.
Is there any Octave graphics interface around there allowing such a thing ?
There are others. See the octave graphics mailing list archives. My experience is that while some of them do some things better than gnuplot, none of them can really do everything that gnuplot does (2D and 3D plots), which is why gnuplot is still the default.
