Hello,
I am using opie from 3.5.4.1 on a C860.
Thank you for making it possible to run real applications [vim units
octave ruby etc.] on my pda, together with a very usable pim!
Is anybody using octave + gnuplot under opie?
Previous versions of oz had gnuplot working together with qplot and
octave. But with 3.5.4.1 the command: ipkg install gnuplot fails:
cannot find package gnuplot with default /etc/ipkg.conf.
After checking I noticed that the gnuplot package is now hosted in
feed/X11, toghether with gnuplot-x11 and not in feed/base where I was
expecting it.
My understanding is that:
* gnuplot provides the base functionality
* gnuplot-x11 is the X11 interface
* qplot is the opie interface
is this correct?
Should I just add feed/X11 to my /etc/ipkg.conf to install gnuplot,
even though I'm using opie?
Thanks for your help,
Berni
