Is it possible to configure octave so that it opens a notepad-type window as in previous versions?I think you are asking for something like QtOctave: http://www.geocities.jp/tmacchant5/qtoctave0.7.2_octave3.0.0_Portable_win32.zip It's an old release of QtOctave. I thought the QtOctave developers were releasing newer versions for Windows, but it seems I was mistaken. This version should be quite usable for your needs, though.
Hello,Is there a mailing list for qtoctave development? Or a gmane news gateway? I couldn't find any in the homepage (my Spanish is limited). FYI, I'd like to contribute a windows binary. I compiled qtoctave with MSVC2008Express (I needed attached patch). The binary seems to work fine but there is no icon.
