Re: compiling java package on linux

Hi. I got the java package from SVN (rev. 6271) and I am trying to install it
with 'pkg -verbose install java.tar.gz' in Octave 3.2.3.

Java setup:
address@hidden:~> java -version
java version "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.6.2) (suse-5.10.1-i386)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode)

Env. variables java-related:
address@hidden:~> printenv | grep JAVA_
JAVA_BINDIR=/usr/lib/jvm/jre/bin
JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/jre
JAVA_ROOT=/usr/lib/jvm/jre

Result:
octave:3> pkg -verbose install java.tar.gz
mkdir (/tmp/oct-m2Xa7P)
untar (java.tar.gz, /tmp/oct-m2Xa7P)
make: Entering directory `/tmp/oct-m2Xa7P/java/src'
Java support not compiled
make: Leaving directory `/tmp/oct-m2Xa7P/java/src'

Please tell me what I`m doing wrong here ... Thank you.
