Hello
The gnuplot-4.4.0 is based on gnuplot-4.3. Some changes are carried out since
2009-07-08 (most parts
of them are bug fixes). It probably can be used from octave-3.0.5.
The building gnuplot is not so time consuming event. The best way is that you
try by yourself.
