No, there is no way, because Octave no longer comes with BLAS/LAPACK
sources included (that caused numerous problems in development). I
suggest you compile BLAS and LAPACK yourself, if your system libs
appear to be buggy. Btw., a system package called merely "blas" is
most likely the unoptimized reference BLAS, so anything from ATLAS to
several non-free BLASes will give you a much better performance.
