Now it went the other way. The saved image looks right. The on screen image
does not differentiate dash and solid.
Anyway, thanks a lot.

I get similar problems. I don't know why. It is possible this is a documented
issue of the fltk backend. seems similar to this

try gnuplot instead. ie
graphics_toolkit gnuplot
