Vilsu,

Maybe is a good opportunity to learn Octave properly. You can access
the manual here http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/doc/interpreter/
If you have question you can send them to this list or post them in
the IRC channel #octave

There are plenty of tutorials and video lectures in the web. Just
invest some time, I can tell you it is worth the effort.
