But exactly what problems did you had? Anyway, I generated the tarball [1] with the python script so you can try it yourself. Please download it and try to install it as you would with any other Octave package. The only thing left to do is to install the latest version of libsvm on the system, somewhere where the compiler can find it. You're using Windows so I can't help you with that. Please try to install the package and let me know if you have any problems. If the installation fails, the first line of the text that appears should give you a hint of the problem (unable to find svm.h or wrong version).
Hi Carnë!Unfortunately the installation fails: "configure: error: Unable to find svm.h."
My steps 1.I downloaded LIBSVM from your link: http://carandraug.no-ip.org/octave/libsvm-3.17.tar.gz 2. My main OCTAVE directory is c:\octave I saved the package file in c:\octave\downloads 3. I started OCTAVE and issued the package install command: pkg install downloads\libsvm-3.17.tar.gz The installation fails, and the 1st line is:configure: error: Unable to find svm.h. Is it installed in the system? Is the include path configured properly?
Can you advise me on how to proceed? Kind regards, and the Seasons Greetings, hans
