octave-sundials

Hi all,

I want to test the SUNDIALS bindings in Octave 3.8. I have installed
Octave by compiling form source so the package manager of Ubuntu or
Debian do not want to install octave-sundials since octave is not
installed.

Is there a standalone octave-sundials package or how can I install the
package properly?
Would the SUNDIALS community would like an OF package
(http://octave.sourceforge.net/) than can be installed independently
from the package manager?
