Hi Marius,
        "ls -l /opt/local/bin/texi2dvi” gives the following
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  57338 Dec  1 20:33 /opt/local/bin/texi2dvi


by the way, how do you install octave 4.0 via macports?
