RCS 5.7 and binary files

Hi there

I've just noticed one reply on the help-rcs mailing list, stating that RCS
is designed for text files only and should not be used for binary files.
Some of our engineers are using RCS to control access to word files and I
have not heard of any problems.

Can anyone let me know of their experiences of using RCS and word files.
