With all respect for the people behind GNU Smalltalk, IMHO it is not the best
environment for learning Smalltalk - you should take a peek at Squeak for that
(www.squeak.org). I think GNU Smalltalk is good for Smalltalk-based scripting,
deployment of server-side work, and development by people who don't like the
Smalltalk environment ;-), but to really learn and appreciate the art and
science of Smalltalk, you should use Squeak.
