Nixpkgs (the distro used on hydra.nixos.org) has that under the
name ‘libxml2Python’.

PS: Sorry for not answering your previous question. I’m no
longer up-to-speed wrt. Nix, so I was hoping someone else would
pick it up. ;-)
No worries. I found a way, through trial and (mostly :-D) error.
I think i'll add a blurb to HACKING to explain what i think is
the right way; i hope someone who understands Nix better can
review and correct it.
