[igraph] vertex index in R

Recently I tried to use igraph to analyze biological networks.
But for the R version of igraph, I found the vertex index is nasty.
Specifically, V(g) index the vertex from 0, but R typically index a
sequence from 1. This could be very annoying.
any comments or suggestions?
