I don't think so; I'm using igraph in many different environments
ranging from gcc 3.4 through gcc 4.0 to gcc 4.3.2.
Can you try pickling your whole graph and the giant component and send
it to me somehow to my private email address? I mean:
>>> import pickle
>>> f = open("graph.pickle", "w")
>>> pickle.dump(g, f)
>>> f.close()
>>> f = open("giant.pickle", "w")
>>> pickle.dump(giant, f)
