[igraph] benchmarks for community algorithm testing

Has anyone developed the R(igraph) code required to generate GN (Girvan and Newman 2002) and LFR (Lancichinetti, Fortunato & Radicchi 2008) benchmarks?  The C++ code is available at  http://sites.google.com/site/santofortunato/inthepress2  but I am after a R solution.
