  just FYI:
  I'm using NFS to access the files as the
  NFS server is unable to run CVS (a Network Appliance).
  I don't want to store files anywhere else
  than on a Network Appliance as this machine
  has the "snapshot" feature which basically
  allows to keep your files like current,
  like they were at 10am today,
  like they were at 4pm yesterday,
  like they were last monday...
  (kind of a time-limited built-in CVS)

  I'll upgrade to cvs 1.11 plus edit patch.
