Hi,
I have a development branch and many of the files have ended up with
obnoxious (to me) revision numbers such as "1.1.1.1.2.2". Is there
some way to shorten this? I do have some such as "1.1.1.2.2.4" and
"1.1.1.3.2.2" but all six-digit revisions begin with "1.1.1". There
are other files with revision, e.g., "1.2.2.2".
Since I am sure this not the default behavior, what did I do wrong
when I created the branch and how can I shorten the existing revision
numbers and still retain CVS history?
I apologize if this is a FAQ, but I did check the cvsbubbles site and
found no mention of this problem.
Thanks for any info,
