Q: default settings for diff |

Hi everybody!
I'm using WinCVS and cvs in linux and I have a question.
Is there a way to set preferences for commands like diff?
An example is to always use -u for diff (unified diff).
I know that I can make shell scripts, aliases, batchfiles and set an
external diff program - but that seems overkill since cvs diff allows the
same options as gnu diff. (but eg with wincvs it would be a severe
performance penalty to use an external diff)
So is it possible to set default parameters for cvs commands?
Any help is appreciated!
Regards,
Phil
